Back to routine

We r back after a very long vacation.

Its time to get back to the routine. School office work studies ...... the busy schedule starts again..........

Good that i will get some time for my blog. I have missed it for 2 and half months.

So many things happened during this 2 and half months....

Good that we could spend enough time with our family. But we lost our Grandma during this time but we are glad that at least we could meet her before she passed away.

She was such great women .......i am proud to be part of her family.......

She lived her life on her own terms and she has always given something to everyone in her life...........her values, ethics, love and what not. She has been a source of inspiration for everyone........i have known her for 8 years .... but vijayan has spent his entire life with her and he is missing her like anything. There is so much to learn from her. i am going to write a detail post about her.......i am so inspired by her life that i would love to put it down in words. Its worth sharing.

Time to spread the smile around!!!

As school vacation is going to start , we r all getting ready to go home.......our parents, cousins, relatives, friends......all are waiting for us and kids to arrive..
Countdown has begun.... 18 days to go....

We are busy in shopping and packing…and that's what we love the most.. buying gifts for our loved ones. Selecting gifts is such a fun ...........we completely enjoy this ........u can say its a passion for us.

Gift.. it is such a wonderful thing…. it gives so much happiness to one who gives and one who receives...
we love if someone gives us a gift.... let it be anything.. a rose or even a toffee ... we just love it.

My little daughter makes greeting cards for us on a rough or torn paper and we love them too.

What we love the most is giving gifts to all.........we just like to see the smile on their faces.. For our kids we always buy small small stuff and we make sure that we pack them well with whatever stationary we have with us. We gift-wrap it nicely and give it to them with a note….

It might be just pencil box .. she needs for school.. but when we give it as a gift she just loves it and learns to cherish it.

We always cherish our gifts. Whatever we receive.. We have a habit of keeping the gift-wrapper with the best wishes note on it. (earlier my mom used to shout at me that there is no place to keep your stupid things but still i managed to store them)....... when i got married i took 3 cartons full of the greeting cards and gift tags and wrappers and stuff with me ... he he... my loving hubby did not utter a word about it because its a common passion...

There is one thing we never ever do is to exchange our gifts........even if we don't like the item we never mention it to the person who gave it to us.... we make sure that we use it because the feelings of the person who gave us that gift are more important for us...........we will make sure to use it in front of the person.

we always teach our children the same thing....never ever say if u don't like anything because someone has bought that gift for you with so much love… so.. if u say ‘oh, why u got this - i don't like it - i wanted something else’.. then u will hurt the person ...never ever do it.

Feelings are more important not the gift itself. A little flower given with lots of love is more precious than an expensive gift u might receive from someone without much feelings involved.

we do not expect a gift in return ... we just love to give gifts.. it gives us true happiness and that's what matters most to us.

We think we can spread smile by giving gifts to people we love and can bring a little more happiness in their lives….and we are thankful to god for giving us the ability and resources to spread this smile around…

One day when i was searching the net i found this peom and its lovely... i am dedicating it to my angel.. my hubby!

My Mother's Day !!!

This year my mother's day was really special. My little daughter made it so special for me ..that whole day i couldn't stop smiling. I was on the top of the world.

As soon as she got down from the school bus in the afternoon she started singing loudly the song "happy mothers day".. she learnt in the school, she hugged me there itself on the road and was singing loudly. All the people on the road started looking at us and were smiling.

When we came home she declared that ..as today is a very special day for you mom. So u wont do any work and i will do everything. I will behave like the best daughter today and u will not have to shout at me for anything. She herself kept all her things neatly ..her bag ,books, lunchbox, uniform all the things she kept in its proper place. She cleaned the toys and room. Whole day she kept singing.. the same song for me and laughing and hugging me.

She kept saying mamaa I am so excited bcoz its mother's day. Evening she took her dad out and told me we have a surprise for u........and went and bought flowers and cake and a beautiful gift for me. she wanted to decorate the house with balloons but somehow i managed to convince her not to do so ;-)

She also gave me a beautiful card she prepared in the school in her art class and i loved it. Through out the day we had a background music of the song 'Happy Mother's day'.
Till she went to bed she kept singing it and at least 200 times she told me in a day that she loves me the most and i am the best mamma in the world.

Even in her happiness, she remembered that me and Vijayan had to call our own mother’s and wish them too – which we had forgotten to do.
I never felt so happy in my life........... my little daughter she brings so much happiness in my life.........i just adore her.

Next day morning when she was getting ready for the school......... she asked me a very important question..
Mamma i was thinking we have Happy mothers day, we have Happy fathers day but then why don't we have happy children's day? so u can also give me gift and card na?
i laughed so much .........i said yes dear we do have children's day its on 14th Nov .. on Chacha Nehru's birthday!
she said, "oh! then OK ...........so i Will also get a special gift then.... thank God... mamma i was thinking there is no children's day!

I never stop thanking God for choosing me as Mother for the two best children in this World............I am proud to be their mom!
Thank You God once again for this beautiful gift!

Our first post!

we are sayli and vijayan... we are soul mates in every sense.....that's why we decided to host our blog together.

This is our first post; we are still working on the design and layout of our blog.
But its great fun to make our own blog which will be as transparent as our minds. This blog will be a platform where we will write our views , thoughts, about the books we read, about our favourite poems , about our experiences and we will put up some of our creations and art work.
